"My Winter Vacation"

I had a great winter vacation.

First, I got a new video game for Christmas. The game is called "Nintendogs" for Nintendo DS. I played the game for many hours, but I wish I had a real dog.

Then, I went skiing in Takayama, Gifu with my family. It was fun, but I'm just a beginner. My sister is a really good skier. I liked staying at the inn (ryokan) and relaxing in the baths.

After that, we visited my grandparents' house in Hyogo for New Year's. For the first three days, we ate a lot of food. I got New Year's money (o-toshidama) from my parents and grandparents, and we went shopping in Kobe City. The department store was very crowded. But I did get to buy some new clothes.

My vacation was great, but now it's over. I have to go to school, but at least I get to see my friends.
